Want to experience the future of driving even before your vehicle is delivered? With the 3D browser application of the Infotainment Coach, buyers of the Kia EV9 can interactively explore the features of their new vehicle in advance. The waiting time for the car is playfully bridged – increasing the anticipation even more.
Specifically developed for the period between placing an order and delivery, this application ensures that every interaction with the infotainment system is mastered even before the car is handed over. The creative and innovative offerings in the aftersales sector significantly contribute to customer retention and satisfaction.
We know how important quality in the customer experience is. With great care, we have developed the 3D application of the Infotainment Coach and represent the system in a realistic way – just as it will be experienced in the vehicle.
We solved the following technical challenge: How do you transfer a system that is operated with the fingers in a car into a precise and user-friendly application for the browser? With our approach of not just replicating the infotainment system, but creating a three-dimensional, visually excellent version of it, we enable the tactile, interactive feeling of operation. This ensures that the application also meets the high quality standards of the EV9.
The final result exceeded our expectations. Working with Experience One was easy, efficient and the communication was always perfect.
Future EV9 drivers can familiarize themselves with the infotainment system before taking delivery of the car. The first impression of the EV9 doesn't have to happen in the car, but can comfortably take place on the home monitor.
It is up to the users to decide how they want to explore the infotainment system: In addition to the option of simply discovering functions, settings, and driving modes, we have developed ten interactive tutorials that allow one to playfully learn about the various features of the infotainment system. The more tutorials you complete, the more badges you earn – and you become a pro from a beginner almost incidentally. This increases the anticipation, and when you later start using the vehicle, you are already familiarized with everything.
The brand Kia is committed to innovation and boldly pursues forward-thinking ideas. Here, we wanted to connect – with the goal of making the car tangible before it even reaches the customers. In the technical development, we have created a scalable, high-performance solution that opens up a variety of new possibilities: The content of the infotainment system is represented in HTML, and its implementation in the 3D application is done using WebGL. The application thus seamlessly integrates into the company's progressive mindset. With our help, Kia becomes a pioneer in making the driving experience of tomorrow tangible today.
The 3D web application offers a completely new way of interaction in the vehicle. By using the latest web technology, we were able to create an intuitive and visually appealing user experience.
Listening, understanding what is required, and acting consistently: that is our approach. We take the time to address challenges and focus precisely to deliver exactly what is needed – and more. Efficiency and quality are always our top priorities and have made an impression at Kia as well.
What do users need? What requirements must be met to be not only visually appealing but also functional and user-friendly? We have made sure that our product is both informative and engaging, and offers real added value – with the Joy of Use as a guiding star.
For an outstanding implementation, it is crucial not to compromise on quality, appearance, and usability. Through meticulous technical realization and going the 'extra mile' in 3D design, we offer users an excellent experience. We have worked out every detail precisely to achieve the best results.
