New standards in B2B sales: from sales pitch to shopping experience

In the textile industry, the conventional ordering process for fashion retailers is cumbersome and characterised by media disruptions: costly fabric samples, a confusing ordering process, lots of paperwork, time-consuming preparation and follow-up. Together with OLYMP, we have completely rethought and digitalised the ordering process. Seamlessly integrated into the system and data landscape, our digital showroom optimises process steps - from planning and ordering to post-processing. This allows us to create space for intensive

customer advice and give consultations a new quality. The digital showroom combines personal encounters with digital possibilities to create a unique experience: we allow shoppers to immerse themselves in collections and skilfully showcase the OLYMP brand. The digital showroom was honoured with the German Digital Award 2023 in the "User Experience | Usability | Conversational Commerce" category by the Bundesverband Digitale Wirtschaft e. V. (German Digital Economy Association).

Digital staging of products and brands

We take shoppers on an inspiring journey through collection themes, fabrics and materials for a particularly impressive product experience. In the physical showroom, the digital components - from the touch table to the large-format powerwall - blend seamlessly into the overarching design concept. All elements of the brand presence, the OLYMP product range and the imagery are harmonised down to the smallest detail and create a coherent whole. Thanks to the digital presentation, OLYMP can successively reduce sample collections. A real plus in terms of time savings, cost efficiency and sustainability.

Intelligent functions for buyers and sellers

In the past, shoppers used to place coloured rings on shirts to make their selections - salespeople transferred everything into tables by hand. Thanks to the digital transformation, this is now much easier. Buyers select their favourites in the intuitive order tool, adjust size keys, simulate the POS presentation, query real-time availability, check delivery dates and, last but not least, trigger the order directly. At the same time, OLYMP sales staff can utilise all of their consulting expertise with the help of valuable insights. Once the order has been finalised, the buyers receive the ERP system data immediately by email. The result: efficient processes and satisfied customers.

Sophisticated integration and process optimisation

Where manual transfers and cumbersome order checks in other systems were previously the order of the day, we have ensured reliable data exchange with the help of powerful interfaces to existing systems. This integration brings more transparency and efficiency at all levels - and has driven the entire digital transformation of the traditional OLYMP brand as a flagship project: from 3D product development to ERP connection and process optimisation. A development that has had a positive impact on the entire company.

To begin with, we wanted to understand processes, customer needs and central key moments. For this reason, we attended real sales meetings. The dialogues between sellers and buyers and their actions gave us a valuable basic understanding. Thanks to this shadowing, we were able to design a customised digital showroom.The new solution allows us to match digital pre-orders with purchases. It also gives us the security of being able to provide professional advice in the future, even with just a few samples. As you would expect, customer feedback has been amazingly positive.
